The panel will share a set of Wolf Conservation Planning resources, based on best science, democratic processes, inclusivity, and ethics, which are the culmination of an intensive collaborative effort by multiple organizations, with input and critiques from a broad array of scientists, ethicists, retired and current agency professionals, Tribal biologists and representatives, and academic experts. Advocates will be provided information and ideas vital to wolf conservation planning, along with the academic and scientific research to back every recommendation made in the wolf planning resources.

Nancy Warren has been Executive Director of the National Wolfwatcher Coalition since 2014. Since 1993 Nancy has been committed to dispelling myths and unfounded fears associated with wolves by investigating facts and studying the scientific research. She believes that education is one way to increase social tolerance and provides free programs to schools and organizations throughout Michigan and Wisconsin.

Jodi Habush Sinykin is an environmental attorney who has concentrated her legal practice on water resource and wildlife conservation concerns, including litigation and advocacy relating to Wisconsin wolf management shortfalls. Jodi works with a collaboration of environmental organizations, wildlife advocates, scientists and conservationists to advance science-based, ethical wildlife policies, including the Endangered Species Coalition who has retained Jodi as a contractor for this project. Jodi received her J.D. from Harvard Law and a B.A. from the University of Michigan.

Samantha Bruegger is Wildlife Coexistence Campaigner for the environmental nonprofit, WildEarth Guardians and is based in Salem, Oregon.  Her work is focused on advocating for better policies and laws that empower people to coexist with native carnivores across the West and at the federal level.  From working to reform the federal wildlife-killing program USDA Wildlife Services to developing resources for state wolf planning, Samantha is driven to see fewer dead animals and dispel misinformation on some of America’s most iconic species.  She possesses a BA in Gender Studies from University of California Riverside and a Master of Public Policy from Pepperdine University, with an emphasis on Environmental Policy & Local Government. Samantha’s past work experience includes work in local government & business relations, public affairs, rural economics and environmental policy.
